Take the First Step Toward Excellence

Intramural

The purpose of the Patriot FC Intramural Program is to provide players at all skill levels with a high quality opportunity to learn, enjoy and develop an appreciation for soccer and sports in general. We provide these opportunities in a fun, constructive, and family oriented atmosphere.

Patriot FC serves the residents of Newtown, New Hope, Upper Makefield, Wrightstown, and surrounding communities. We provide soccer training and competitive opportunities for boys and girls ages 3-18.

The club offers Intramural soccer programs at Brownsburg Park in Upper Makefield and Veterans Park in Newtown.

Parent Code of Conduct

As a Parent:

  • I will be supportive and encouraging to all players on the field. I will keep all negative comments to myself .
  • I will not coach. I will let the coaching staff make any adjustments. I will let the players make their own decisions or allow them to communicate to their teammates.  I know that telling them what to do and how to do it is not helping them improve.
  • I will never address opposing players or parents unless it is to encourage or congratulate.
  • I will treat all officials with respect. I will let them call the game. I understand that mistakes will be made, but the value of teaching our kids to respect officials and the game of soccer is more important than an offside call.
  • I understand that engaging in any obscene gestures, language or violent conduct will result in an automatic 3rd violation.
  • I will leave the game at the final whistle, I will not approach the referee, players or coaches unless invited to do so.
  • I will not engage in discussions with the coach or trainer about my child for a minimum of 24 hours after the game.
  • I will try to keep the game fun for my child.
  • I will encourage my child to communicate with their coach about all conflicts or questions about their own play.
  • I understand that alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription drugs will not be possessed consumed or distributed at any time at any field or complex.

1st Violation will result in a verbal warning from a member or an officer of the board.
2nd Violation will result in a written warning from the board.
3rd Violation will result in a season ban from all games and practices.

Coach Code of Conduct

As a Coach:

  • I will create a positive learning environment for all players. I understand that reinforcing good play is a far better coaching technique than criticizing mistakes.
  • I will encourage players to make their own decisions. I know that telling players what to do will not improve their play.
  • I will treat all officials with respect; I will be polite and courteous to them.
  • I will not tolerate inappropriate behavior, regardless of the situation.
  • I will only interact with opposing players, parents and coaches to encourage or congratulate them.
  • I will not engage in any obscene gestures, language or violent conduct. I understand that this will result in an automatic 3rd violation.
  • I will congratulate players after every game regardless of the result.
  • I will encourage communication from my team.
  • I understand that alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription drugs will not be possessed, consumed or distributed at any time at any field or complex.
1st Violation will result in a verbal warning from a member or an officer of the board.

2nd Violation will result in a written warning from the board.
3rd Violation will result in a season ban from all games and practices.

All intramural players in the younger age divisions (younger elementary aged players) will receive weekly training (6 total) by our club training staff to prepare players for their 8 scheduled games. This will increase the amount of training exposure that each of our players receives during the season.
